In summer 2007, I had the great opportunity to go to
Europe. I went to London (of course!) and to Kiev,
Ukraine. Two incredibly beautiful and fun cities!
Everyone's seen the traditional tourist shots. This one is
different -- it's one of the Queen's royal coaches.
St. Michael's Cathedral in Kiev is
incredibly beautiful inside and out!
Even your ordinary buildings in Kiev are
works of art.
The hotel we stayed at was very close to the Opera House.
Boy was I surprised one evening when I walked by and saw
this-- I thought I had dropped back 200 years in time!
These lovely "Regency" ladies, I believe, were advertising a
new show opening at the Opera House.
This handsome Ukranian "knight"
greeted everyone who walked into his
restaurant. I couldn't resist taking his
picture.
